Ahhh, Memorial Day! The day that signifies the start of summer, open swimming pools, BBQs and camping. But let's not forget the real meaning of Memorial Day and why it is so important...

Formerly known as Decoration Day, it commemorates U.S. men and women who died while in the military service.  First enacted to honor Union soldiers of the American Civil War, it was expanded after World War I to include American casualties of any war or military action.  -Wikipedia

I am so thankful to ALL our current, past and future members of the military.  I am so thankful for all the freedoms that I have and for all the sacrifices that were made so that I could have those freedoms.

No matter how you choose to celebrate Memorial Day, don't forget to take time to remember all of our fallen soldiers.  I am hoping to celebrate by watching Taking Chance - an amazingly powerful story and movie (which just came out on DVD).

I am also celebrating by offering 25% off all Affordable Mineral Makeup™ orders, now through midnight on Monday, May25th!  This is a personal sale, not through the Affordable Mineral Makeup™ site,  so please email me at brenda@purelynaturalminerals.com with your order.  I will bill you through paypal and the order will be shipped directly to you.
