Curious about what colors of shadow look best with your eye color? I have compiled an easy reference list to help you as you shop.

Here are some hints to picking out the best color of eye shadow that will compliment your eyes and not drowned them out.

Blue eye:

Some of the best colors for blue eyes are browns, violet, light purple, gray and silver.  Some people recommend a dark blue color but it needs to chosen carefully.  Wearing a shadow that is the same color as your eyes tends to make your eyes look dull.

Brown eyes:

People with brown eyes are very lucky.  You can wear and look good in almost any color.  Some of the best colors for brown eyes are green, blue, gold, bronze and browns

Hazel eyes:

Hazel eyes are a mix of brown and green.  The amount of each color varies depending on person.  If one color is more dominant that the other, go with colors that compliment that color best.  Neutral colors and brown based shades (which includes pinks) tend to look best with hazel eyes.  Be wary of blue though - it tends to not looks as good as other colors and tends to dull down your eyes.
